The Union High School Class of 1974 recently celebrated their 50-year reunion with several local events. The group entered a float and classic pick-up truck titled Union High School Red Devils Know How to Tailgate in the Farmer’s Day Parade on June 8, taking first place in their division.  A lovely evening of reminiscing at Elmwood Estate on Saturday, June 22, included a catered dinner, trivia game, and door prizes.

Wrapping up the festivities, the group, joined by classmates Connie and Donald Dunbar, Terry Upton, Edward Tolley, Gary Hefner, and teachers Bill Wickline and Charles Larew, enjoyed a picnic on Sunday, June 23rd, at the Trinity United Methodist Church picnic shelter in Pickaway, WV.  We all agree that our 5- year reunions (that have been held regularly since we graduated) evoke memories of laughter and bonds of friendship that will last forever.
